Petland Cemetery began its service in 1973. Its purpose was to provide a pet cemetery service for the local community. Since 1973, Petland has expanded from the greater Aberdeen/Grays Harbor area to cover much of the Westside of Washington and Oregon state and even venturing over into the greater Spokane area on the Eastside of Washington.

We offer many service and memorialization options for families, veterinarians and veterinary clinics. Our most widely chosen option is private cremation. When a pet is marked as a private cremation for Petland, our drivers first check the red tag accompanying the pet. This is where the information about the pet, family, and urn selection should be noted by the clinic and then the tag is placed with the animal. If an urn is selected, the driver notes what type. The driver also fills out a white card that, along with the red tag, will follow the pet through the entire process. If laser engraving is selected, the driver will also be sure to have a copy of the order form detailing the laser order text and/or photo. The pet is then taken to Petland and put in a designated area set aside for private cremations only. Each pet is sectioned off in the crematory by fire-safe brick. Once the cremation is complete, the remains are taken out, cooled down, and processed. If the family selects an urn, the pet will then be placed in the urn and the pet is returned to the clinic.

Special!
Wooden Pet Urns
We do have a designated area at Petland for burial of pets.

Several families prefer this option instead of receiving the remains back, or, group instead of cremation. We do have several options for headstones and memorialization inside the cemetery and we are happy to work with families regarding payment options as well. We are pleased to provide this option to families; however, since our cemetery is located in Aberdeen, it is difficult for many families to have their pet’s remains so far away. When deciding how best to take care of your pet once the time comes, please keep that in mind.

Above all, we strive to make this process as uncomplicated as possible for you and your family. We want you to feel content with your decisions and if, at any time during this process, you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.

We look forward to serving you and your family.
